What is your favorite kind of music to play in the studio?
Breathe station on Pandora is my go to for that cool lounge vibe but I definitely like to mix it up! Upbeat yet chill is my vibe. When in doubt, Reggae...
What is your favorite pilates exercise?
Honestly stretching on the ladder barrel is one I never get sick of. Side overs on the spine corrector. Calves stretching on the Cadillac. Currently I’m super into back extensions on the reformer to open up my chest and shoulders...
What’s your favorite type of group class to teach?
Ideally, a group class gets along amongst each other, can crack a few jokes, and most importantly comes ready to challenge themselves in a safe way!
What is your favorite exercise to do outside of the studio?
Yoga. Of course I'd love to be in a group class with one of my favorite teachers but lately it's something I do at home and when traveling. I'm also definitely a spinning enthusiast, or any cardio that goes by fast! For now I'm getting most of my exercise outside the studio from walking and spending time with my 1 year old.
Where is the last place you travelled to?
Well technically I've gone to visit family but let's go with Maui which was my last vacation and I really would like to be there right now!
What is the best thing about being a pilates teacher?
Being a pilates teacher has brought me so much balance, spiritually and phsycially. It' a constant motivator yet very grounding for me. I’ve met so many incredible people and having the ability to help them feel good is the best feeling ever.
What are your hobbies/passion/business outside of the studio?
Swimming with my baby became a fun hobby this past summer. Mommyhood seems to be taking over everything else and I'm feeling passionate about my new role in life.
At what point in your life have you most appreciated pilates?
That's the beauty of pilates is it's so adjustable and accommodating I've felt like I appreciate it through so many of life's battles. When I was in a boot for a broken foot and was so limited with exercise, I appreciated pilates more than ever though, for sure!!! It allowed me to strengthen and stretch my body during healing process.
What is the best/worst thing about living in LA?
Well the traffic obviously is the worst but the best is the diversity and abundance of places to explore!
What days and hours are you available at Good Body Pilates?
Tues-Sunday, mostly afternoons, some mornings and some evenings.
